Little Lights on the Lane Wedding, Hailey & Jamison

The wedding venue Little Lights on the Lane in West Branch Iowa is breathtaking to say the very least. It’s one of my favorite venues because everything always turns out so perfect! The venue goes well with any color scheme because of its modern aesthetic, and that is a huge plus for couples right now since adding in colors is a big trend!

That’s why, when Hailey and Jamison reached out to me in need of a planner, I was thrilled to get to work a wedding at Little Lights! The couple had a fun color scheme of Ivory, Blush, Sage, Navy, and Emerald; overall a great color scheme to have at this venue because the space won’t over shadow the decor!

The Design

Hailey and Jamison opted for more simple decor, spreading out pillar candles and budvases along a white chiffon table runner. We then had full place settings at each seat with white dinner plates, gold silverware, and a glass water goblet.

The piece of decor that was really unique and that I LOVE however, is their table numbers! Their table numbers went from 1 to 24, and for each table number, the couple had photos of each other from when they were that age. So for table 6, the bride and groom had photos from when they were six on the card. Such a fun and memorable idea!

The bridal party

I always love a bridal party dressedin emerald, and these bridesmaids are no exceptions! Each girl had their own style of dress that fit them, but they were all the same color! This is a big trend in the wedding world right now: Picking the color of bridesmaid dresses, but letting your girls pick the style they feel most comfortable in.

The groomsmen looked snazzy in all black tuxes, and they paired really well with the ladies!

The Ceremony

The couple had their wedding ceremony outside at Little Lights on the Lane, under the venues big willow tree. While you can’t see it from this angle, the couple also stood infront of their black A Frame arch that had floral arrangements on it designed by Cassie with Parrott Floral.

As you can see in the photo, Hailey and Jamison decided to do a sand ceremony as their unity for the ceremony.

The Reception

The reception was a blast! While guests were eating dinner, the couple played the shoe game for their guests to enjoy, the definition of dinner and a show! While this photo shows Hailey and Jamison agreeing on things, the same cannot be said for when the DJ asked who was the better driver out of the two ;) It’s always funny when the couple disagrees but doesn’t know it!

Dancing took place shortly after outside on the covered patio, allowing guests to dance under the edison bulbs and have the summer breeze to cool them off.

The Desserts

The cool summer breeze wasn’t the only thing helping guests cool off during the reception! Hailey’s parents own a Dairy Queen, and they brought in blizzards for their desserts! Guests loved the change of typical wedding cake to ice cream for their wedding, and it will be remembered as a unique twist for years to come!

I had so much fun getting to help Hailey and Jamison plan their big day at their dream wedding venue, Little Lights on the Lane! It was filled with so much love, ice cream, and incredible vendors! Speaking of which, huge shout out to my vendors listed below who helped put together a blissful wedding!
