Our Story
How Elizabeth Bliss Events began
Owner of Elizabeth Bliss Events, Lauren Elizabeth Gardner, started working in the event industry in 2019 in Lakewood, Colorado as an event planning assistant at a local wedding venue. Things were going great, but unfortunately, the COVID-19 pandemic forced the wedding venue to close it’s doors and lay off it’s entire staff.
Like many others, the pandemic prompted Lauren to uproot and move to be closer to family in Iowa. When the pandemic ended and large events were deemed safe again, she got a job as a wedding planner at a local venue. While working at this new venue, she was told by her then-boss that she was "not cut out for this industry."
At first, she was overwhelmed with feelings of disappointment and confusion. But, ultimately she didn’t let those hurtful words break her spirit.
She knew that bringing dreams to life was what she wanted to do for the rest of her life.
She wasn’t going to let one person’s opinions of her keep her from doing what she was called to do. So, She decided to start her own wedding planning and event coordination company.
Lauren came up with her business name by combing her middle name “Elizabeth” with “Bliss” because it evoked the feeling she wanted all of her clients to experience working with her.
She knew right away that she wanted Elizabeth Bliss Events to be focused on the couples and doing whatever it took to make their wedding day special.
She wanted to be there for them every step of the way, rather than jumping into the planning 1-3 months out from their big day.
She worked for months devising her business plan, and on October 27th of 2021, she booked her first client!
Since then, Elizabeth Bliss has taken off faster than she could ever imagine! With the constant support from her couples and other vendors, Elizabeth Bliss has grown more than she ever could’ve imagined.
