Marina and Tanner’s wedding day on September 21st at The Hauberg Estate in Rock Island, Illinois, was a beautifully curated and meticulously planned celebration. Every detail, from thrifted vases to ceremony décor, reflected their creativity and personal touch. Despite the challenges of Midwest weather, with rain and wind throughout the day, their wedding was a stunning and memorable occasion.

The Hauberg Estate Wedding Ceremony

The Hauberg Estate offers several picturesque spaces for ceremonies and receptions. Marina and Tanner’s ceremony took place in front of the estate, framed by majestic trees beginning to show their fall colors. The décor included thrifted vases and thoughtfully arranged floral designs, while a gorgeous rug at the altar created a cozy focal point. Bows fluttered along the aisle, adding a whimsical touch to the setting. Guests were greeted by a biodegradable confetti station at the start of the aisle, featuring thrifted bowls and furniture that added charm and sustainability to the day.

The Hauberg Estate Wedding Cocktail Hour

After the ceremony, guests moved into the historic Hauberg Mansion for cocktail hour. The mansion’s rich history and elegant interiors provided the perfect backdrop for mingling. Guests explored the art and antique furniture that make the estate so unique. Seating assignments were displayed under charming trinkets and vases for each of their guests, each thrifted by Marina and Tanner in the months leading up to their wedding. As a thoughtful keepsake, guests were invited to take these vases home, ensuring lasting memories of the special day.

The Hauberg Estate Wedding Reception

Following cocktail hour, the reception took place under a tent in the estate’s front courtyard. The couple shared their first dance beneath the tent’s soft lighting, followed by heartfelt toasts that brought many to tears. Dinner was served buffet-style in the estate’s historic carriage house, which also housed a full bar. Guests enjoyed both the delicious food and the carriage house’s vintage charm, including its beautifully styled cake table.

The reception tables in the front courtyard were adorned with round floral centerpieces and an array of carefully chosen décor. Marina and Tanner’s commitment to thrifting shone through in the unique collection of candlestick holders, taper candles, and hand-painted vases that decorated each table. Gold charger plates and burgundy napkins complemented the fall-inspired palette, while fresh fruits added a touch of seasonal elegance.

As the night unfolded, Marina and Tanner danced the evening away under the tent’s twinkling lights.
