This Halloween wedding had so many fun twists and turns, it was such a fun wedding to be apart of and to help get to plan! However, this wasn’t my first Halloween wedding. 3 years ago I did a Til Death styled shoot that gained a lot of interest on Pinterest and Tiktok, and that’s actually how this couple found me. They saw my pictures online, and wanted me to recreate my Halloween wedding for them in a new way. Safe to say, this wedding was way better and had a lot more Halloween elements than my styled shoot did, making it a highlight of my year.

The Halloween Decor

Thinking a gothic elegance Halloween wedding? Then this design inspo is for you! Each place setting has a gold charger, black dinner plate, burgundy napkin, gold skull, and black spider guest favors along with red water goblets and gold silverware.

For the table decor we placed vintage gold taper candlesticks with black taper candles, bud vases with red roses, and a candelabra floral arrangement.

The headless horseman ceremony ride

Forget your typical ceremony entrance, Kathy made a statement by riding into her ceremony on a headless horseman drawn carriage. You read that right, our driver wore a handmade headless horseman costume! We also had a fog machine going, so our lovely bride exited the carriage and entered her ceremony through a foggy haze. Talk about a spook-tacular entrance!

The curtiss mansion wedding reception

After the ceremony guests headed to the cocktail hour with specialty themed halloween drinks and appetizers, including “eyeballs” (meatballs w/ sliced mozzarella, olive & ketchup), “zombie fingers” (angus beef sticks with chimi sauce), “witches cauldron” (mini plastic cauldrons with snapper ceviche.

After cocktail hour guests were guided to the dancefloor, where the couple shared their choreographed first dance, before making their way to their seats for dinner.

the cake

After dinner, guests were directed to a seperate room off the dance floor, where the cake had it’s own special room.

Now this isn’t your typical wedding cake as you can probably already tell. What makes this cake unique isn’t the design, oh no, it’s the fact that this is a floating cake that makes it unlike anything you’ve ever seen before! This cake display uses a handmade iron coffin that uses a pole that goes through the cake connecting it to the top, whith a chandelier used as it’s base. There’s nothing holding the cake up underneath the chandelier, it’s all connected from a hanging rod at the top of the display.

The cake itself is three tiers of awesomeness. With a blood geode center poppoing out from all three tiers, and gold icing dripping down from the sides, it’s no wonder this cake stole the show and needed it’s own room.

Kathy and Mark’s Halloween wedding was a huge success, and so much fun to help plan! Thank you to all the amazing vendors who helped make their day special!
