Pinter’s Garden Wedding, Nicole & Ian

Nicole and Ian’s Pinters Garden Wedding in Decorah, Iowa was the definition of a picture perfect day! Although the rain in the morning was making some of us nervous, it stopped just in time for theings to dry off for their beautiful outside ceremony.

Pinters Garden in Decorah, Iowa is a garden center by day, and an event space by night! They have a beautiful indoor venue and a stunning cereomny space outside. Not to mention one of the prettiest gardens I’ve ever seen!

The rain stopped just a few hours before the ceremony which allowed us to dry off chairs and get everyone settled. Nicole and Ian had a lovely ceremony and shared some very heartfelt words, but one thing that will always stand out to me, was their unity.
The couple had a wooden time capsule made, that they would open on one of their wedding anniversaries! They kept a bottle of wine from their wedding year, their vows, letters to one another, along with a few other things. I thought this was such a cool idea!

After the ceremony guests came inside for cocktail and mingled before the grand entrances which happended to be a little… different. Instead of your typical grand entrance where your bridal party is introduced by name into the reception, the bride and groom decided to do a roast instead when introducing each bridal party member, and it was a huge hit! The bride and groom entered into the reception first, took the mic, and pulled out their roasts!
After the introductions, the couple had their first dance, cut their cake, and had speeches and toasts. Shortly after dinner was served, and the dancing commenced!

I had a blast helping Nicole and Ian plan their wedding! They were such a sweet couple, and really knew how to throw a party! Big thanks to all the vendors who contributed on their day!
