Black Hawk Historic Site Wedding, Alex & Amara

Amara and Alex’s Black Hawk Historic Site wedding in Rock Island, Illinois was a fun twist of midevial meets modern, and it was so much fun to help plan!

One thing I love about Black Hawk Historic Site in Rock Island, Illinois is the wooded area surrounding it. It makes for stunning photos and makes you and your guests feel more secluded and intimate than a venue in the city ever could.

Trinity Church wedding ceremony

While Black Hawk Historic Site has some stunning ceremony options, Amara and Alex decided to have their ceremony at Trinity Church in Davenport.
After the ceremony, I coordinated their guests into rows with handfuls of rose petals for the couples grand exit, and had Amara and Alex walk down and head off to the reception. It was such a fun expirience not only for the couple, but the guests loved getting to send them off as well!

Black Hawk Historic Site Wedding Reception

After their ceremony, the couple and their guests headed back to the Black Hawk Historic site for coktail hour and photos. After their grand introduction, the couple went straight into their choreographed first dance, and had their DJ send off cold sparks throughout their dance! It was a fun twist their guests had never seen before, and made for some great photos!

Amara and Alex had such a fun wedding with amazing guests surrounding them, and I had a blast getting to help them plan their day from start to finish. Big thanks to all the amazing vendors who helped put the day together!
